Early Life and Family
Prince Aemond Targaryen, also known as Aemond One-Eye, was a member of House Targaryen. He was the second son and third child of King Viserys I Targaryen.
The Kinslayer
Aemond earned the moniker "Kinslayer" after he killed his nephew, Lucerys Velaryon, during the Dance of the Dragons. The incident occurred during a battle above the God's Eye, where Aemond's dragon, Vhagar, attacked Lucerys's dragon, Arrax.
Appearance and Character
Aemond was known for his distinctive appearance, having lost his right eye in a childhood fight with his nephew, Jacaerys Velaryon. He was described as skilled in combat, ruthless, and ambitious.
Role in the Dance of the Dragons
During the Dance of the Dragons, Aemond played a significant role as a commander for the Greens. He led several raids and battles, including the infamous attack on Rook's Rest, where he captured his cousin, Baela Targaryen.
Fate
Aemond's reign came to an end at the Battle of the Gullet, where he and his dragon, Vhagar, were killed by Daemon Targaryen and his dragon, Caraxes.
