Nicky Byrne has been announced as the new co-host of RTE's Dancing with the Stars

Nicky Byrne has been announced as the new co-host of RTE's Dancing with the Stars. The former Westlife star will join Jennifer Zamparelli as co-host of the popular dance competition show.

Byrne has previously presented a number of TV shows, including the Nicky Byrne Show on 2FM and Dancing with the Stars: The Greatest Show on RTE Player.

He is also a regular panellist on RTE's The Late Late Show. Byrne said he is "delighted" to be joining the Dancing with the Stars team.

"I'm a huge fan of the show and I can't wait to get started," he said.

"I'm really looking forward to working with Jennifer and the rest of the team to make this the best season yet."

Dancing with the Stars is set to return to RTE One in early 2023.
